Wireless with Goldfrapp

For those of you in the UK, we hope to see you all at the Wireless Festival on Sunday where we play with our label mates Goldfrapp. It should be a great gig, but don't take our word for it. Here's what the band think.

"We're excited that Goldfrapp will be supporting us for some of our festival dates this summer," said Dave Gahan. "There's a real connection between their music and ours "

"I'm looking forward to seeing Goldfrapp live" says Martin Gore. "It makes for an exciting bill."

Rock Band Depeche Mode to Perform in Israel in Tisha B'Av Fast Day
13:33 Jun 27, '06 / 1 Tammuz 5766

(IsraelNN.com) Electronic rock band Depeche Mode is planning on performing in Israel on August 3rd, which is the 9th of the Hebrew month of Av – Tisha B'Av.

Tisha B'Av is a fast day commemorating not only the destruction of the Holy Temples and various other historical tragedies, but was the last day Jews were allowed to be in Gaza according to the Disengagement Law.

MK Nissim Slomiansky (National Union-NRP) came out against the concert Tuesday. "It pains me that specifically on that say, a day of national mourning, Israeli producers decided to bring a rock band to perform in Israel. I hope that a speedy notice will be dispatched informing the public that it was a mistake and the date of the concert has been changed."

On verra !
