www.alfa-matrix.com/news.htmVisage returns with Seize as band
2005 sees the return of Visage, the cult New Romantic band fronted by living legend Steve Strange. The comeback for Visage will be powered by a cutting edge modern electro sound generated by the members of our very own Seize with Sandrine Gouriou and Steve Young on synth and backing vocals, and Rosie Harris on backings vocals and bass. The band are currently working on new songs and modern interpretations of Visage classics. For Steven Young, it was an old dream becoming true: "Back in the 80's I was young but I was a big fan. Steve was a very charismatic front man and to get the opportunity to work with him was an easy decision! Lets face it, its going to be a fantastic experience whatever happens..." Summer 2005 will also see the return of Visage's live show with major performances planned worldwide. Also plans exist for new material, Sandrine Gouriou comments: "Steve Strange is a big influence to all of us and since we met I got plenty of great ideas for the next visage album! We're already working on a couple of tracks." Young, Harris and Gouriou are currently working on two other projects, Seize and Ovni, but a release date for the material is not clear yet due to the Visage commitments. Pioneers of the new romantic movement, the synth-pop group Visage emerged in 1978 and released "Tar" in 1979. But it was the 1980 release selftitled album "Visage" that launched the band in the worldwide spotlights with the single "Fade to Grey" being an instant club classic. The follow-up, "Mind of a Toy," was a Top 20 hit. 1984's Beat Boys was the group's final recording, although a remixed "Fade to Grey" was a UK Top 40 hit during the early '90s.
Je me demande bien qui sera le prochain à faire son come-back ?
