Hi,

Hello S.,
thanks for the extract. Really nice recording, far better than the common version of that gig.
Do you know if the recording is complete ? I think that it is, do you know from which band Depeche Mode was the support act ?
Do you are planning to sell other tapes of other bands ?
Thanks,
Vincent

Hi Vincent,
Depeche Mode were the main band that night, They came from a town only about 4 miles away, so
this was a local gig for them, The tape recording is the complete 35approx minute set they played.
I have sent another sample, from 'Big Muff'.
Regards,
S.

Hi again,
a stupid question : i know you seemed to be very honest, but if i try to win that auction, can you confirm that you will not propose CDR copies to other bidders, even if they are proposing high prices (half the price or more ?). I'm asking that because in the past i was surprised to see a seller contacting me for a CDR copy of the original stuff he was selling (same kind of rarity of DM), even if the winner won it for hundred of dollars...
Thanks for your help,
Vincent

Hi,
Tricky question, I have already said, I will not be selling more copies, ie, not puting any
for sale on ebay. I have had masive interest in this tape especialy from Germany, people
have offered me £150.0 to end the auction, these guys are Damaged People mad like your self.
many have asked for a copy, I have said I will not make any promises untill after the
auction. If you won the auction what is to stop you contacting all the bidders and selling copies?
or what if you did not win, and I said you can't have a copy for your own use.
this is a genuine tape recording and I put it on ebay for fun, but I did not plan for the large interest.
Regards,
S.

Thanks for the long email with all the info, you seem a great guy who knows what's what with live music,
I only have the one live tape, on the other side there was a live recording of a group called 'Bollock brothers',
but I taped over it in around 1982 because i thought they were rubbish, now perhaps I wish I had not.
If this gang of 20 guys were to win it, there is a good chance it will be spread about like wild fire,
I would love to do a copy for genuine DM fan if they promised never to take it further than their own use,
not to make money, but to let real fans hear this great recording,
Let me know if this sample is ok,
S. ps good luck.

See You
Vince
